If a minor child is travelling without both parents, a consent travel letter is required. Travel letters are required even if the minor is traveling with one parent, a grandparent or anyone else, and even if the parents are not separated or divorced.

 

Without a travel consent letter, you may not be able to travel. School field trips outside Canada required consent travel letters from the parents.

The travel consent letters are signed by the non-traveling parent(s).
